South Lander Street will be closed for construction beginning May 23 as part of the Lander Street Bridge Project. S Lander Street will be closed to traffic from 1st Ave. S. to 3rd Ave. S. through early 2020 while Seattle Department of Transportation builds the new bridge. Pedestrian and bicycle rider access will be maintained, as will access to all adjacent businesses along S Lander Street. Through-drivers are encouraged to use S Holgate or S Spokane streets while S Lander Street is closed.
